NauticAssure launches as a specialised insurance broker for charter and boat insurance

Munich, 17 September 2026 – NauticAssure is launching its offering as a specialised insurance broker for charter and boat insurance. The company aims to make watersports insurance more transparent, easier to understand, and digitally accessible. Its approach goes beyond simply arranging cover: NauticAssure wants to accompany customers before, during, and after their trip, and to contribute to loss prevention through digital features. The managing directors are Jonathan Posselt and Norbert Porazik.

The starting point is a digital comparison for charter insurance. Through the platform, customers can compare rates from a range of insurers and product providers and take out cover directly online – for example skipper liability, deposit, trip cancellation, and travel health insurance. As an insurance broker, NauticAssure compares different insurers in the market rather than offering its own policies. Alongside premiums, NauticAssure also sets out differences in the scope of cover transparently. For questions about the choice of cover and in the event of a claim, the team is available personally.

Insurance experience meets digital development

Posselt previously headed AI and automation at Fonds Finanz, NauticAssure’s parent company. At NauticAssure, he combines his experience in insurance distribution with the development of digital processes and platforms. As a wholly owned subsidiary, the company can also draw on the market and distribution experience of Fonds Finanz.

A key element of the business model is working with insurance brokers, charter operators, and charter agencies. NauticAssure provides them with specialised insurance solutions for charter and boats, along with the technical infrastructure and professional support required.

Insurance brokers can offer their customers specialised charter and boat insurance without having to build their own product and comparison processes. Charter operators and charter agencies can integrate suitable cover directly into the charter booking process.

Depending on the partner, integration works via an individual link or directly on their own website. NauticAssure handles the insurance comparison, the technical processing, and the professional support.

More than cover: a companion for the entire charter holiday

NauticAssure sees itself as a companion before, during, and after a trip. The offering is therefore intended to go well beyond comparing insurance, taking out cover, and support in the event of a claim. A dedicated app, scheduled for release in the coming weeks, is designed to support customers throughout their charter holiday.

Planned features cover trip planning, organisation on board, and safety – including crew management, a shared on-board kitty, shopping lists, digital safety briefings, and further functions to help during the trip. With this, NauticAssure aims to offer watersports enthusiasts tangible added value while helping to prevent damage as early as possible.

Expanding the offering step by step

Following the launch with charter insurance, the offering is to be expanded step by step. Plans include a digital comparison for boat liability and boat hull insurance. Further solutions for charter companies and fleets are to follow.

With this, NauticAssure aims to support both private watersports enthusiasts and boat owners as well as commercial partners in covering their risks.
